Our Principal

Lathan Fowler

Welcome to the Francis Bradley Middle School community. We are thrilled to share more about the leadership guiding our school and the vision driving our student success. 

With 20 years of experience in the field of education, Principal Lathan Fowler brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of leadership to our school.  His academic and professional background include:

• Bachelors in Physical Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University
• Masters in Administration from Gardner-Webb University 
• Physical Education teacher and High School basketball coach in Lincoln County (2006-12)
• Assistant Principal at Sherrills Ford Elementary (2013-14)
• Principal at Sherrills Ford Elementary (2014-2024)

Principal Fowler joined the Francis Bradley Middle School family in 2024.

A resident of Huntersville since 2010, Principal Fowler is deeply rooted in our local community. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters. Some of his hobbies include cheering on his daughters at their lacrosse games, golf, lawn maintenance, and watching the Carolina Tarheels, Washington Commanders, Carolina Hurricanes, and Atlanta Braves.

As principal, he believes every student has the ability to achieve their goals and experience meaningful success—academically, socially, and emotionally. At our school, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where high expectations are paired with encouragement and care. Strong relationships among students, staff, and families are the foundation of our work.

We recognize that when parents and caregivers support learning at home, students are empowered to achieve even greater success. Together, as a unified school community, we are committed to inspiring, guiding, and preparing every student to thrive now and in the future.
